I am a designer who specialises in

information design, user experience design and visual design.

I love what I do and I hope that it shows in my portfolio.

I enjoy volunteer, I have lots of volunteer experience of working with the disabled (deaf-mutes, blinds, Autism, cerebral palsy) that has had a significant influence on the way I see the world.

I enjoy photography and films as well.

Hey there, thanks for visiting my online portfolio.

My name’s Belinda J Lin and I’m currently a design informatics postgraduate students at The University of Edinburgh, UK.

I specialise in information design, online user experience, interaction design and graphic design.

I’m familiar with the most basic design software: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. I also master the basic operations for the prototyping software, such as Adobe Muse and Axure RP. The videos and photos software Premiere, After Effect and Lightroom are frequently used in my previous works as well. Additionally, I have basic understanding and knowledge in the area of front-end (html, CSS and JavaScript), which helps me to have a better communication with the programmer.

Majority of the projects I have done until now are focus on data visualization, UX/ UI design for web/ mobile terminals. I used to work as an UX designer intern in the biggest mobile Internet Company in China (UC Web/ UC Browser, which is affiliated with Alibaba Group now) for four months.

These days I begin to design with things (IoT) and develop some works via Arduino, you can obtain their further information from my recent works :)

Besides design, I also have some experience with video shooting and editing. I have filmed and edited three short movies and some other videos works before.
